LEAN DAILY IMPROVEMENT (LDI)

After a 2-day training course, the Lean Daily Improvement (LDI) Facilitator possesses the basic knowledge, skills to effect change using proven lean methodologies and understands how to make small but meaningful daily adjustments while work is being done, and to sustain the gains (holding metrics) made through other change efforts. LDI builds a team-based, continuous improvement habit at the point of service.

LEAN PRACTITIONER (LP)

After a 4-day training course, the learner is focused on learning how to facilitate events intending to build organizational capacity for process improvement. The Lean Practitioner (LP) plans, delivers and facilitates-to-closure Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs).

ADVANCED LEAN PRACTITIONER (ALP)

After this 4-day training course, the Advanced Lean Practitioner (ALP) learns to plan and lead multi-day Value Stream Analysis (VSA) events, implement/deploy advanced solutions like Kanban and lean service cells, and take on broader responsibilities in Value Stream Management and complex Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) to facilitate the spread of successful solutions across the organization.

FAILURE MODES AND EFFECTS ANALYSIS (FMEA)

After this 4-day training course, learners will be able to demonstrate the ability to utilize FMEA to identify and prevent potential process and/or service failure modes including risks to patients and staff and mitigate risks through process redesign. Following the FMEA event, the learner will participate in implementation planning and daily continuous improvement processes.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Assessing change readiness and urgency for change is the first step in successful change initiatives. This learning opportunity emphasizes engaging stakeholders early in the initiative. Successful change occurs when team members understand and feel part of a shared vision. This learning focus also introduces tactics to address resistance to change. Learners will be introduced to high level essential steps and concepts in managing change.

HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN

Human-centered design is a user-centric approach for problem-solving and product/service design. Learners will explore methods like empathy mapping, user interviews, and prototyping to deeply understand user needs and preferences. This training aims to equip participants with valuable skills to create innovative and user-friendly solutions that address real-world challenges effectively.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

In this introduction to process improvement, participants will become familiar with key principles in improving processes including, respect for people, reducing waste, enhancing quality and measuring success. This learning module is recommended prior to pursuing Lean Certifications.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY

Psychologically-safe organizations foster well-being, productivity, accountability and innovation. Organizations that are psychologically safe also create a supportive work culture where individuals have a sense of belonging, feel comfortable taking risks and express concerns and ideas without fear of negative consequences. Learners will understand the different stages of creating a psychologically safe culture and what that looks like in practice.

TEAM DYNAMICS

Team dynamics aims to foster understanding and appreciation of individual team member assets and differences, leveraging insights to build cohesiveness and high-performing teams. Depending on the organization’s need one of the following may be incorporated into this facilitated learning: Myers-Briggs,Clifton Strengths Finder, or True Colors. Due to the use of copywrite materials, the cost is more than our hourly fee for service rate.
